In anticipation of NASA awarding the Human Landing System (HLS) contract in the near future, Dynetics Space Systems Division is seeking qualified engineers and analysts to support NASA programs including HLS that will put the first woman and next man on the Moon. We are seeking project engineers, systems engineers, test engineers, electrical/mechanical engineers, stress/structural engineers, and analysts to join a diverse team in support of the development of a Human Lander System that will take us back to the surface of the Moon by 2024.

TheSystems Engineering and Integration Leadwill support the Dynetics Space Systems Division with development of HLS with primary responsibility for leading the systems engineering and integration (SE&I) of flight hardware including requirements identification, management, and verification; risk identification, tracking, and mitigation; and management of the design process. The position requires experience leading an SE&I team on a complex development program. The candidate will work in a team environment to support conceptual design through product implementation and must be able to lead the integration of flight hardware from diverse technical disciplines into a flight-certified vehicle that meets performance, schedule, and cost requirements.
Candidate must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or equivalent degree from an ABET-accredited university.
Candidate must have at least five (5) years of SE&I experience with hardware development.
Candidate must have experience as a systems engineering lead on a project or projects requiring requirements and derived-requirements development and tracking, development of hardware specifications, and flight hardware integration.
Candidates must have demonstrated experience in the application of standard systems engineering process such as documented in NASA SP-2007, Department of Defense (DoD) Instruction 5000.02 series/Defense Acquisition Guidebook, or equivalent commercial processes.
Candidate must have background and working knowledge of one or more of the following disciplines:
+ Structures and Mechanisms
+ Thermal Control
+ Assembly, Integration, and Test (Production Processes)
+ Launch Vehicle Operations
+ Spacecraft Mission Operations
+ Safety and Mission Assurance
Candidate must be able to write clear, concise, and comprehensive technical reports and present results to multi-disciplinary teams and customer stakeholders.
Candidate must have demonstrated experience effectively communicating both verbally and in writing.
Candidate must be able to write technical reports and to present results to a multi-disciplined team.
Candidate must have demonstrated experience effectively communicating within a team environment.
Candidate must be a resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville – North Alabama, AL area.
Preference will be shown to candidates who possess a Master’s Degree in Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or equivalent degree from an ABET-accredited university.
Preference will be shown to candidates who have experience and/or knowledge of the following:
+ NASA, DoD, or other aerospace development projects
+ Integration of environmental, mechanical, and/or electrical hardware systems for NASA, DoD, or commercial programs
+ NASA systems engineering practices and processes
+ Human rating of space vehicles
+ Working as part of multi-company and multi-organizational development teams
+ Performing as an individual contributor within a short time period
+ Proficiency with Microsoft Office tool suite
+ Project planning and scheduling using Microsoft Project
Candidate must be a US Citizen.
Candidate must possess (and be able to maintain) a Final Secret Clearance or meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Secret Clearance.
