Position: MRO Material Planning Rep.
Position Location: Mobile, AL
Position Type: W2 Contract
This job is a member of the Material Planning Team within the Integrated Operations Division. Responsible for obtaining material requirements for the MRO (Maintenance Repair Offsite) to support Heavy Check and Special Visit Lines where workflow is impeded due to lack of material (Parts and tooling).
+ Determines most effective actions needed to obtain required materials/tooling for the aircraft at the MRO locations.
+ Provides liaison with Maintenance Planning, the various Material Planners, MOC and other operating groups in all matters relating to aircraft logistic support.
+ Updates database to communicate material delivery status and routing plan to the Supply and Maintenance Production at the specific MRO location.
+ Researches alternative part number options by reading IPCs, CMMs, and other drawings; submits Engineering Assistance Requests for approval as needed.
+ Monitors all removed parts/material for proper disposition.
+ Creates Repair Orders for rotable items shipped for repair or overhaul, return items not used back to base stations and properly dispose of scrap items per our GPM.
+ Attend meetings and directly coordinate with local maintenance and engineering teams.
+ Transact multiple requests in several systems simultaneously.
+ Ability to keep organized managing several aircraft at the same time.
+ Responsible for on-the-job training of employees and recommends and/or implements work simplification systems.
+ Performs any additional duties and responsibilities as assigned in order to achieve department and Company objectives.
+ College Degree preferred.
+ 3 years Supply Chain Management experience or equivalent experience/training.
+ Must be willing to work weekends and various shifts.
+ Must be able to work in stressful situations during peak operations.
+ Must be able to work various shifts (Day, Nights, Weekends and Holidays) in a 24/7 environment.
+ Must be willing to be flexible with scheduling and able to 100% travel to support MRO Operations.
+ Must have current Passport for international travel, if required.
+ Experience in Material Logistics, Stock Clerk, Material Planner, or Supplier Management.
+ Be able to read IPC, CMM, and/or drawings to identify alternate solutions. Knowledge of Microsoft Office to include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
+ Excellent analytical and problem-resolution skills.
+ Knowledge of aircraft operations as related to Maintenance and Supply.
+ Ability to work independently with a high degree of motivation.
+ Must be able to make time critical decisions
