In anticipation of NASA awarding the Human Landing System (HLS) contract in the near future, Dynetics Space System Division is seeking qualified engineers and analysts to support NASA programs; including the history-making Human Landing System that will put the first woman and next man on the Moon. We are seeking project engineers, systems engineers, test engineers, electrical/mechanical engineers, stress/structural engineers and analysts to join a diverse team in support of the development of a Human Lander System that will take us back to the surface of the Moon by 2024.
Dynetics is seeking a talentedSoftware Leadto join a diverse, highly-skilled team to create unique solutions for complex problems involving space systems. With offices across the United States engaging in the defense, space, cyber and commercial fields, Dynetics provides responsive, cost effective intelligence, engineering, scientific and IT solutions.
The successfulSoftware Leadwill support the Dynetics Space Division in the development of a human lander system and support equipment, primarily responsible for integration and qualification of distributed avionics software into a seamless operational unit, working with industry teammates. This position also requires the ability to decompose a large software system into separable portions suitable for execution by more junior support personnel. The candidate will work in a team environment to support design through product implementation, and should be able to lead engineering design disposition on all documentation discrepancies.
Candidate must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent degree from an ABET-accredited university.
Candidate must have at least fifteen (15) years of direct experience in role as detailed above with an engineering company or system integrator where design, testing, and/or modification of human rated aerospace systems software was involved.
Candidate must have experience developing and/or integrating distributed system software components with an understanding of network protocols, concurrency, and asynchronous communication.
Candidate must have experience in software system design/architecture sufficient to generate a software architecture from requirements and reference models.
Candidates must have demonstrated object-oriented software development experience in one or more of the following languages:
Candidate must have experience working with source control systems such as SVN.
Candidate must have demonstrated experience effectively communicating within a team environment.
Candidate must be a resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville – North Alabama, AL area.
Preference will be shown to candidates who possess a Master’s Degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent degree from an ABET-accredited university.
Preference shown to candidates who have experience and/or working knowledge of:
+ NASA or other spaceflight avionics development projects
+ Agile software methodologies (e.g. Scrum)
+ Multiple programming languages and automated unit testing
+ Working as part of multi-company and multi-organizational development teams
+ Self-motivation with demonstrated ability to work under minimal supervision
Candidate must be a US Citizen.
Possess (and be able to maintain) a Final Secret Clearance or meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Secret Clearance.
