Job Summary
The Office of the Registrar is seeking an experienced Information Technology specialist with strong interpersonal skills as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Reporting to the Associate Registrar, this position will be responsible for identifying potential changes to existing processes as well as innovating new processes designed to allow us to better serve our stakeholders by engagement through digital platforms.

Essential Functions
As such, primary duties will include, but not be limited to:
1. Identifying processes that are candidates for electronic document workflows, and finding opportunities to improve existing workflows. This will require a thorough understanding
of business process that relate to the Office of the Registrar, the various colleges and units who interact with the Office of the Registrar, university policy, as well as a detailed understanding of the Banner Student Information System.
2. The creation of reporting dashboards and the ability to understand complex reporting requests and provide meaningful output. The ability to independently suggest reporting metrics to assist with student success initiatives is key.
3. Provide backup and assistance with key information technology duties in the Office of the Registrar, including support for university-wide applications like DegreeWorks, Courseleaf, Astra Schedule, and others.
4. To ensure that critical term processes related to the Banner Student Information System are performed as required, and to assist with routine desktop and application support needs in the office.

Area of Experience
Experience in computer maintenance, troubleshooting, SQL report writing, and programming.

Requirements for Additional Job Levels
Specialist III requires a minimum of four (4) years of experience in computer maintenance, troubleshooting, SQL report writing, and programming. Typical salaries at this level are between $43K and $54K.

The Specialist IV level will requires five (5) or more years of relevant experience as stated above. Typical salaries for Specialist IV are between $55K and $65K.
