We are seeking resumes for a Technician HVAC in our Jackson, Al operations.
Provides troubleshooting and repair and installing all types of heating, air conditioning and refrigeration equipment of the PCA Jackson Paper Mill operation.
Minimum 3 years of experience in the HVAC/Mechanical Field
EPA Certified for refrigerant handling Class I & II
High School Diploma/GED
Valid Driver’s License
Basic Computer skills including, Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.
Required regular use of hands, fingers, walking, stooping, kneeling, climbing ladders and stairs. Be able to regularly lift and move up to 10 lbs., frequently lift and or move up 50 lbs. and occasionally lift and or move more than 50 lbs.
Ability to be On-Call rotation and take emergency after hour service requests.
Ability to work alone and in a team environment
Ability to work safely in a labor intensive environment
Ability to learn quickly and with attention to detail
Five (5) plus years of experience in Commercial or Industrial HVAC Service.
EPA Certified for refrigerant handling Universal
HVAC Technical Certificate or Degree from an accredited program.
Candidates should have the following skills:
Servicing, repairing and installation of HVAC systems, including controls, motors and other related fixtures.
Must have excellent knowledge of electrical diagnostic, air conditioning and heating.
Experience training in electrical circuits and schematics; plumbing and equipment controls.
Braze or solder parts to repair defective joints and leaks.
Observe and test system operation, using gauges and instruments.
Test lines, components, and connections for leaks.
Dismantle malfunctioning systems and test components, using electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic testing equipment.
Adjust or replace worn or defective mechanisms and parts, and reassemble repaired systems.
Read blueprints to determine location, size, capacity, and type of components needed to build refrigeration system.
Install wiring to connect components to an electric power source.
Perform mechanical overhauls and refrigerant reclaiming.
Cut, bend, thread, and connect pipe to functional components and water, power, or refrigeration system.
Adjust valves according to specifications and charge system with proper type of refrigerant by pumping the specified gas or fluid into the system.
