Job Description

POSITION OPEN:
Superintendent for Select Demolition Company based in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.

DUTIES:
Oversee the on-site operations of select demolition projects from planning to completion. You will be responsible for daily scheduling, supervising all activities and tasks, and ensuring the safety and compliance of the site and successful completion of quality work. Your team can vary in size and scope. Asbestos and Mold abatement is required occasionally. Training and licensing will be paid for by the company.
o Manage daily site activities, including safe work and meeting schedule and budget goals
o Oversee and direct a crew of employees
o Accurately read and interpret plans
o Provide weekly job performance and cost reports
o Communicate with upper management and report daily and weekly job specifics
o Interact with client representatives and other contractor personnel
QUALIFICATIONS:
Candidate must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be an effective multi-tasker and project manager, have a good mechanical aptitude, and be committed to a culture of safety and quality. Candidate must be:

o Ability to communicate in Spanish is helpful
o Detail-oriented — quality and precision-focused
o Outcome-oriented — results-focused with strong performance culture
o Team-oriented — cooperative and collaborative
o Management Experience
o Estimating experience is preferred
o Work Authorization in the United States is required

WORK LOCATION:
Majority of work is local. Daytrips to and from the jobsite. Occasional stays out-of-town will occur. Some may last several weeks depending on the scope and urgency of the project. Must have ability to travel, Company vehicle provided.
