Machine Operator (This is an On the Job Training position. Must meet OJT eligibility guidelines)

Job Description:

Work as a Machine Operator to manufacture threaded products. The Machine Operator receives instructions from the Plant Manager or Team Leader pertaining to the assignments and expectations for the day. The Machine Operator will have been trained on the machine or machines in the manufacturing area. The Machine Operator will be required to follow processes and procedures either posted or directed by management.

Pay Rate: $12.00 per hour.
Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. with overtime required as dictated by the work load.

Job Duties:

Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Operates cutting machines, threading machines, headers, benders and a variety of other manufacturing equipment. Assures their assignments are completed in the expected time. Responsible for the quality check points on each machine as posted. Responsible for safety and housekeeping of their area. Fills out paperwork according to managers instructions. Uses forklifts to load and carry material.

Job Requirements:

High school diploma or GED or equivalent in experience. Requires skills to read a tape measure. Warehouse experience would be a plus. Ability to follow instructions from management. Communication proficiency both verbal and written. Can identify parts to be processed on their machine. Thoroughness. Time Management. Reading, writing and math skills are essential. Must follow safety rules and regulations.
Work Environment: This position works in a manufacturing setting, with some outdoor exposure during die workday. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines, and standard warehouse equipment such as forklift, hand tools, electric tools, and trucks. This position works both inside the plant and outside as required.
Physical Demands:
The employee is occasionally required to sit and climb or balance. The employee must regularly lift and/or move objects up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move objects up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move objects that weigh 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
