Job Description

Oral Arts is a full-service dental lab, Family & Veteran owned since 1970, which manufactures dental prosthesis, such as crowns, bridges, implants, dentures, partials, and orthodontic appliances such as retainers, splints, night guards, sports guards, etc. using laser scanners, 3D printers, rapid prototyping, CAD/CAM technology, milling machines, modeling clay, wax, wire, glass ceramics, and zirconia.

Job Summary
Under general supervision, the position performs a wide variety of human resources tasks, but focuses on recruitment. This is a high volume recruiting culture. The applicant selected will have a demonstrable successful track record of sourcing, screening, and hiring qualified workers within the Dental Laboratory, Manufacturing, and DOD industries. Partner with hiring manager to quickly fill positions with reliable employees that add value and integrity to our business.

Human Resources Generalist/Recruiter

Monday – Friday

Huntsville, Alabama

Work closely with the Hiring Manager to understand the job specifications and necessary technical skills required to fill the open positions.
Utilize job boards, social media, and any other unique sourcing tools available to identify, connect with, and screen potential candidates.
Conduct in depth interviews to qualify applicants and gain insight on work experience, assess technical knowledge and skill level.
Present well-written summaries of interview to hiring managers for consideration and extend communication regularly with the candidate – scheduling interviews and providing updates.
Extend job offers.
Establish strong working relationships with agencies, applicants, and candidates (passive and aggressive job seekers) to keep a networking funnel.
Research new technologies and recommend tools.
Participate in professional, military, and collegiate career/job fairs.
Ensure all screening, hiring, and selection of candidates is performed in accordance with employment laws and regulations.
Execute new hire orientation and on board new hires.
Promote new hire retention through stay interviews and other retention techniques.
Analyze recruitment data and make recommendations to improve recruitment efforts.
Coordinate and facilitate internal movements.
Assist employees and supervisors in interpreting and applying company HR policies.
Some counseling of employees concerning work related concerns, as well as provide guidance to staff.
Participate in termination events.
Prepare information of inclusion in employee handbook, benefit brochures, and other company specific documents.
Assist in the preparation and presentation of routine unemployment claim proceedings and similar tasks.
Some analytical skills to conduct basic research and prepare recommendations pertaining to HR operations.
Maintain confidentiality and a high level of business ethics.
Other HR related duties as assigned.

Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, technology or related field preferred.
Two (2) years of work experience in Human Resources
Excellent searching and sourcing techniques
A demonstrable successful track record
Experience with server-based applicant tracking systems, internet, job boards, social media sites
Has a solid understanding of MS Office
Excellent planning and organizational skills; able to manage multiple high priority projects effectively in a high volume, fast-paced service environment
Demonstrate a strong understanding of OFCCP/AAP compliance
Effective customer service and interpersonal communication skills
Must be able to work well in a team environment, as well as an individual work environment

With or without reasonable accommodation, the physical and mental requirements of this job include the following: seeing, hearing, speaking, and writing clearly. Occasional reaching with hands and arms, stooping, kneeling, crouching and crawling. Frequent sitting, standing and walking, which may be required for long periods of time and may involve climbing stairs regularly. Additional physical requirements may include: Frequent lifting and/or moving up to 25 pounds and occasional lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds.
