Manufacturing Engineer

SEG currently has a position available for an Engineer support the MDA/IPL Lower Tier Program Office Program Manager and Chief Engineer as the Manufacturing Engineer. Direct technical staff to generate products, and review/edit products prior to submission to the government to include the following: First Article Inspections (FAIs), Industrial Capability and Manufacturing Readiness, Failure Mode Effects and Criticality Analysis (FMECA), Qualification and Acceptance Test Procedures, Interoperability Information Support Plans, Alternative Manufacturing Processes, Functional Configuration Audits (FCA), and Physical Configuration Audits (PCA). Monitor and report on co-production activities in the US and Israel such as Iron Dome and David’s Sling. Visit manufacturing facilities and report on production progress, production problems, and production methods as per Israeli-supplied data sheets. Investigate supply chain processes, status, and problems. Help coordinate production problem resolution. Support international weapon system production and deployment activities. Review documentation and prepare deployment analysis.

Work may require travel 20% to 30% of the time to various locations to include manufacturing sites, integration sites, and test sites within the CONUS or OCONUS.

Required Skills/Experience:

+ Education/Experience: BS degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics or Science with 5+ years experience

+ Security Clearance: Active SECRET Clearance

+ Possess an ability to plan, coordinate, and support product development in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment

+ Excellent people, organizational, management and leadership skills

+ Capable of working as a team member to solve engineering/scientific problems

+ Capable of providing engineering/scientific support on systems, system elements, interfacing systems, components, devices and/or processes for developmental and operational weapon system engineering programs

+ Capable of implementing system engineering processes across a program acquisition life cycle

+ Work as a team member and assist with solving complex problems

+ Ability to conduct Perform Reliability, Availability and Maintainability (RAM) analyses

+ Capability to use the Microsoft Office package to include Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel

+ Experience working in the following areas: Defense Security Cooperation Agency (DSCA), HQ European Command (EUCOM), Patriot PAC-3, THAAD, Arrow Weapon System, C-RAM, International Foreign Military Sales (FMS), Israel Defense Forces, Aegis BMD Sea-Based Terminal, EL/M-2080 Green Pine, AN/TPY-2.

+ Ability to obtain a US Passport

Desired Skills/Experience

+ BS degree in Engineering, Mathematics or Physics

+ Experience in the design, development, testing, production, or production of missile defense weapon systems or components

+ Knowledge of the various Lower Tier Weapon Systems within MDA/IP

+ Experience working through Failure Review Board process and resolution of findings

+ Experience with interacting and supporting high level government customers to include generating briefing and written products and presenting information at the executive level

+ Have a US Passport
